Whiskers are a cat's antenna or sensing device. They direct the cat with very sensitive nerve endings. These hairs can help the cat determine if the area they are crawling into is wide enough for the rest of his body to fit through. Even though a whisker may fall out on it's own, never cut or trim them.

Whiskers are a sensory tool. Felines use them to collect information around them. They are also used to help them navigate through and around objects successfully.

They uses their whiskers to tell if it can fit into a tight spot. If the sides touch the whiskers then the cat will not fit in.

Whiskers are actually very sensitive and are used to sense things; also, they are just as wide as your cat's body, so they allow the cat to measure whether or not it can fit places.
