The reason for so many answers is that many answerers are uninformed. Methadone will show up IF it is included in the screening. Simple pre-employment UAs generally aren't looking for methadone. The panels do not test for synthetic opiates. Special lab work is required to detect it.

that would explain why tramadol does not show up on UAs either, Dr told me tramadol is synthetic opiate. Thanks for the answer add a comment

synthetic opiates are known as opioids. Most (all but the cheapest) pre employment ua's will detect them, they are highly abused.Tramadol is not an opioid (the doc is wrong)it does however resemble opioids in its action. That is probably what he(she)meant. add a comment
if you are prescribed methadone and are worried about a pre employment drug screen, dont be, but do disclose this info to the testing facility.It will not be disclosed to the employer as this would violate (HIPPA) laws.
