The most likely cause of flickering lights is a loose or intermittent connection. To figure out where the problem is, find the wires that connect to the lights and jiggle them a little bit to see if you can make the problem happen. If you can make them flicker then tape the wires up tightly.

Intermittent current usually means faulty electrical wiring. Means that loose contact could cause it. Or, probably a short circuit from an open wire.

Flickering of a headlight is often an indication that there may be a short in the connection which is moved and shorts out when driving. Or if you have an older vehicle it will be caused by the way the alternator produces power while at a low idle. Most likely it is a short in the connection wires.

More than likely you have some sort of short in your lighting system. It may also be caused by a loos electrical connector.

Your lights flicker because there may be a short circuit in the electrical system in your car, other reasons can be poor battery condition and road conditions especially bumpy roads.
