Why are hearts attached to Valentines Day?

It is just what Valentines Day has come to mean. Hearts are associated with love. Hearts were once thought to be the control center and not the brain. Saint Valentine has nothing to do with hearts, but is now associated with love and relationships. This is why hearts are attached to Valentines Day.

It's a day of celebrating love and affection between two people. And when you love someone you love them with your all your heart, hence the heart is used as a symbol or a sign of love.
