Acorns are one of the deers favorite foods. When the acorns fall off the oak trees the deer start forging the forest floor for acorns to eat. The falling of the acorns causes the deer to be more active which in turn makes it easier to hunt them.

If at all possible, a deer would much rather eat acorns than anything else in the woods. If you have oak trees, you will no doubt have deer coming around.
