Of Henry's wives, Catherine of Aragon bore Mary I (four others died in infancy), Anne Boleyn bore Elizabeth I, and Jane Seymour bore Edward VI. Henry had one acknowledged illegitimate son (Henry Fitzroy, with Elizabeth Blount), and two children of Mary Boleyn, Catherine and Henry Carey, might have been his.

Henry VIII fathered 7 legitimate children. However, 4 of them died shortly after birth. The three to rule England as monarch were Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I.
