Hollywood created the myth of the fastest gun in the West. Some say that it was John Wesley Hardin. Others give the credit of gun slinging to Billy the Kid. It was the sheriff.

Judging from historical record it would be difficult to determine who was the fastest. Wild Bill Hickock, John Wesley Hardin, the Sundance Kid. Take your pick as any of them might have been the fastest in the old west. Or not.
