If we're talking about American Football, Brett Favre seems to be the top one right now according the media outlets. He had that scandal with the text messages and has also "retired" several times, only to retract it. For college football, everyone seems to like Auburn's Cam Newton right now.

Michael Vick is a very entertaining player because you never know what he is going to do with the ball. He is a very skilled scrambler so defenses don't just have to worry about him passing the ball, but running it as well.
