Who gives out the 3 Apples Book Award?

The "3 Apples Book Award" is chosen by the children of New York State through their libraries. There are three categories: Young Children (picture books), Children, (chapter books), and Teen. It is awarded by the Youth Services and the School Library Media Sections of the New York Library Association.

The "New york library association", the "Youth service" and the "school library media association" are the three groups that award the 3 apples book winner. One votes for the winner in one of three catagories by going on to the website, entering a password and voting for the book that one prefers

The 3 Apples Book Award is given out by the New York Library Association. Children from ages 8-12 vote for their favorite books and 15 titles are chosen statewide. The 3 books that got the highest votes are read to chidren and they cast their votes. The author and title of the book is awarded and a statewide celebration occurs.
