Charley Pride was the first prominent black country singer, with his hit "Kiss an Angel Good Morning. " Darius Rucker, formerly of Hootie and the Blowfish, has had great success lately on the country charts. Cowboy Troy, out of Texas, sings what he calls "country rap. "
Charley pride , cowboy troy , tomsims , bigtex , big al downing , O. B McClinton , steven pride , trivia , carl ray , tayo reed , ressie palmer are some of the black country singers.
First off there is Rissi Palmer. Then there is Cowboy Troy, who I like despite not liking Country Music. He kind of does a rap/country mix to country music.
One great one is black country Star Gennie Ruth Cheatham, who is a great singer and musician. There is also Charley Pride, Stoney Edwards, Big Al Downing, Cleve Francis, Miko Marks and Carl Ray.
There have not been that many. The first man to really break down the door was Charlie Pride, these days both Cowboy Troy and Darius Rucker have a growing fanbase.
