Where should I look to find capybaras for sale?

Capybaras are exotic pets and will not be sold at most pet stores. They may not even be legal to keep where you live. Before you consider buying check your state and local laws. There are very few breeders of these animals in the country. Try searching online and read reviews to find someone reputable.

Sorry, but capybaras are not typically a domesticated animal; you will see them only in your local zoo or wildlife preserve.

Capybaras are found in South America. Most pet stores won't carry this animal. Some states they're illegal to own or you need a USDA license. These animals are use to living in groups, therefore, unless you have at least 3 of them they are not good pets. They can be very aggressive. I would check the internet to get one.

You will likely need to get these from specialty pet vendors. Capybaras are rare and are very difficult to find at local pet stores. You should look on the internet and see if any breeders will be visiting your area.
