The most well-known Vancouver is in British Columbia, Canada. Washington state also has a town called Vancouver. The name appears in several other places in North America, including Mount Vancouver, Canada (on the Yukon-Alaska border); Mount Vancouver, New Zealand; Vancouver Bay, British Columbia (former cannery town on Jervis Inlet) and Vancouver River, also in British Columbia.

It is on the southwestern coast of British Columbia, near the border with the United States. The other city of Vancouver is in Washington State. Vancouver, Washington is in the southern part of the state, not too far from Oregon.
