The platypus is native to eastern Australia, including Tasmania. It is found only in this region of the world. The platypus is found in mostly small streams and rivers. In inland areas, it is only in places with high water quality. In coastal regions, it is less predictable.

The duckbilled platypus is a semi-aquatic mammal unique to the streams and rivers of eastern Australia and Tasmania. It is not found naturally on any other continent in the world.

The duckbilled platypus, Ornithorhynchus anatinus, is extinct in many parts of Australia but can still be found in eastern Australia and in Tasmania. There is also a small introduced population on Kangaroo Island. It is a semi-aquatic mammal who lives in streams and rivers. It is the only mammal who lays eggs.

You would find them in Australia. You might also find them in New South Whales. Those are the two main places that you would find them if you looked for them. They may be found other places, but not too many other places. I hope this helps you find what you are looking for.
