Where do I find headbands that are in the form of a rope?

The easiest way is to purchase one online or make your own. Making your own headband requires decorative rope with some elasticity to it. Fit it to your head then tie off each end or connect each end to a clasp for easy clipping.

You can try searching for them on google. Websites for handmade goods such as Etsy and Artfire sell rope design headbands. They are also sold on eBay. Farmers markets or craft fairs may sell them. Ehow and Youtube have videos that show how to make your own easily. There are also blogs such as Stylehop with instructions.

any womens clothing store would carry rope headbands. personally i have had luck at my local clothing store, mandee. you may have better luck though at a higher end store such as nordstoms or even jcpennys or macys, as they have a lot of fashionable items.
