Where do I check the manufacture date on an Armstrong Flute?

Well the manufacturing date should be on the box of the flute. If it is not then you should look on the flute itself. Usually where they have the logo of the company name, they have the make date of the flute as well. That is where you will see the manufacturing date.

Locate the serial number of the flute. It should be inscribed somewhere on the flute. Contact the manufacturer, either by phone or sometimes the web. Ask to look up information and provide your serial number and they should be able to tell you everything you want to know.
