You can purchase timber from your local Home Depot store or Lowes Home improvement store. Also smaller hardware stores carry some timber but not all sizes or types that may be available at Lowes or Home Depot stores.Some lumber companys also sell timber to the public but not at contractor or bulk prices.

There should be a lumberyard in your area where you can buy all types of wood in various sizes. The people working there can guide you and will cut pieces to length.
