Look on Amazon. A lot of books (especially novels) required for courses will be much cheaper through the Amazon Marketplace since you'll be buying them used directly from students like yourself who aren't using them anymore.

You can go to half. com. This is a good place as is Amazon. com. You can also check froogle. The one thing I would caution you about is making sure you have the right edition before you buy them. Most companies will put out a new edition often. SO I wouldn't order my book until after the first day of class.

There are numerous online alternatives like amazon. com even for used books that you should check. Your college library might also offer the books you require in a special reserve collection.
