A good place for a bargain prom dress would be the Internet, specifically eBay. Department stores also offer dresses at reasonable price. Even H&M offers budget dresses during prom season.

You can find really cheap ones at Ross or Marshall's. They sell really nice looking ones that don't cost a fortune like ones you will find at places like Macy's or Dillard's.

You can usually find prom dresses at consignment stores like Plato's Closet. They normally have only been worn once or twice and they're marked down for a good price.

Prom dresses can be found at department stores, like JC Pennys for under $100. You can also go to used clothing stores and they usually have alot of very nice prom dresses. I also believe you can rent a formal from a bridal store for a prom nowadays as wel. I know several girls who have done these suggestions.
