They do make them. Sometimes you find them in Walmart in their stationery and office supply department or a drug store. An office supply store is also likely to carry them.

I assume you are just talking about regular rubber bands - like the ones newspapers are sometimes tied up with. You can get them at general stores - such as walmart. You might be talking about hair elastic bands, which will also be sold at a similar location. Ask an employee to help you find them.

Of course they still make elastic rubber bands. I still find them in my local Wal-mart and craft stores. Most of the time they are sold in the form of a rubber band ball. Some hardware stores carry them in larger sizes for garbage cans and larger items. If you can not find them locally look online.
