Try contacting the manufacture directly, instead of a department store. SOmetimes you can find discontinued items at their outlets or manufacture shops. They keep stock longer than a retail store will. If it's really gone, I would suggest start to look online at auction sites or places for used china.

EBay is a good source for discontinued china pieces, and it is safe. Another alternative is to place a classified "Wanted" ad in your local paper.

Try contacting the manufacturer, check local second hand stores and even try online auction. As a last resort, you can try putting an ad in the paper

A large number of online retailers offer replacement discontinued china. A quick google search for your terms shows a good company called "replacements, ltd"- it's right up your alley.
