Go to Ocean Beach and watch the sunset with your husband. I heard also that La Jolla Cove is a nice and romantic place to go. Also try The Bahia Belle. There is also Gondola Rides. I think it's a nice way to spend a romantic hour on the serene waters of the bay.
A picnic in Balboa Park or at Sunset Cliffs would be very romantic, as would a sunset stroll in La Jolla along the coast (around the cove). A boat ride on the bay is also nice, and Hornblower offers sunset dinner cruises.
The city of San Diego offers many romantic spots. There is La Jolla Cove which is one of the most beautiful natural spots of San Diego. Also in the downtown area is horse-drawn carriage rides through the downtown waterfront area. Other romantic areas include the drive-in and Sunset Cliffs.
