When was the "Progressive Era"?

Starting in the eighteen ninety's and lasting tell the nineteen twenty's the United States was in a period of reform. The goal was to purify the system and the progress lead to the name "Progressive Era".

Between 1890 and 1920 attempts were made to remove corruption from the political system and get the power out of the hands of political bosses. It was "progressive" because the movement wanted to reform old-fashioned policies in the fields of education, churches, business and the medical field.
