The purpose of Lyme is to alter the acid content in the soil. It makes the soil more alkiline. Apply it in the fall of the year.

You must mean lime. Lime is limestone, and is very basic. If your soil is too acid, then you may need to add lime. You can tell by taking soil samples and having them analyzed. The report will tell you how much lime to add.

Lyme is used to alter the pH in your soil. Certain plants and veggies like to have a more alkiline soil and this is where Lyme comes in handy. Use it in the fall before the first frost. Repeat every year until desired pH is achieved.

After conducting some soil tests regarding its pH level or acid content, we can decide whether this is the correct time to use Lyme in soil or not. It is used to encourage plat's growth.

When the pH is low, lyme may be added to the soil. This will raise the pH. This encourages plant growth.

The purpose of lime is to bring up the Ph level from acidity to alkaline. Work it in the spring before planting.

Lime is an alkaline supplement. It will lower the pH of your soil. Use it sparingly if your soil is too acid, or if you are trying to grow some kind of plant which is crazy about an alkaline environment. Start with a small amount, and increase it gradually if it doesn't have a big enough effect.
