Yes, but it requires a filter. When you order DSL, it should come with filters for your phone jacks in your house. Make sure they are plugged before using your DSL. Incoming or outgoing phone calls can interfere with the connection of your DSL.

Yes. You can plug dsl into your telephone jack. DSL uses the non-audible range to transfer computer data. However, if you have other telephone jacks you will want to use a DSL filter on them to block that range from your telephones.

When installing DSL, you really need to plug the cable into your telephone jack, especially if the DSL is offered by the company where you got your telephone connection.

Typically the answer is yes, they are rare cases where another electronic system connected to the phone lines requires a pots splitter installed at the NID. Even more rarely the splitter is needed to fix a signal strength issues. (NID = Network Interface Device)

You will need special filters provided by your DSL company that you will then plug into the telephone jack to work with your other modem hardware.

You cannot plug the DSL's ethernet cable on you telephone jack because: first of all, it doesn't fit! If you can make it fit then you probably broke it. Second of all the ethernet cable has the inside wires connected in a different way that the telephone cable so the computer wont recognize the cable connected there.

DSL HAS to go into your telephone jack. Thats the way its designed. You may need a splitter to also connect your regular phone along with the DSL modem. You can also buy a "DSL filter" in some stores. This basically prevents your internet connection from getting cut when you receive a phone call.
