On average, the baby's first tooth appears at around six months. Early teethers may start as young as three or four months, and late teethers may not start until around nine months. All 20 baby teeth should be in place by age three.

I have 3 children and they all started teething at about 6 months. Some babies do teethe a little later though so it might not be as early as six months. Just make them comfortable with a chew ring and maybe some baby tylenol if they have a slight temp.

Babies generally start teething around four months of age. To me teething eventually stops. It does slow down around 12-18 months. They start teething again around 3 sometimes earlier for molars and then again at 6 years old for molars. Around 12 they lose some other molars as well.
