First off, no, Shaun White most definitely did not invest the sport of snowboading. While he is considered the unofficial ambassador of snowboarding, the sport was created long before Shaun White was born. Unless I am mistaken, Shaun started snowboarding at the age of 9, and became a professional at the age of 17.

Shaun White started snowboarding at 6 years old after he switched from skiing. He did not invent the sport of snowboarding.
