Windows alwasy have a large variety of patches and upgrades for their own softwares that are pretty trusted and efficient! i stronly advise firstly updating your windows media player with OFFICIAL updates (for DVD decoding). if this still doesn't work you can use some trustworthy such as FLV player or nVIDIA DVD Decoder.
