Kittens need distemper shots if they will be out around other cats. Some vets recommend the feline leukemia shot. When the kitten is a few months old they usually get their first rabies shot.

You really can't leave any out. Your cat may not get sick, but by not vaccinating, you may prolong diseases that should be eradicted. Also, keep your cat indoors. There's no need for them to go out, you will help them to live longer, and please, please, spay/neuter.
