The best grass for the Tennessee area is Tall Fescue. Tall Fescue is a deeply rooted, cool seasonal,and perennial grass. It does very well in dry conditions and just as well in heavily wet conditions. Tall Fescue roots roots well and has hardy growth sets during Spring and Autumn.

Grasses don't know what state they are in but they do know if they have enough food, water, and drainage. Any grass with its needs met will flourish and it's less important which grass type as caring properly.
