Following an abortion, HCG, or pregnancy hormones will decline rapidly at first, and then will continue to decrease more gradually, usually at a rate of about 50% every 2 days. In the first week following an abortion, the pregnancy hormone should have declined by at least half, or 50% of what it was prior to the abortion.

Your body is going to go up and down with it's hormone levels because it was technically expecting a pregnancy but now it's going through the cycle of a miscarriage. Expect a little depression and weird mood swings so give it a couple months.

It depends how far along you were in your pregnancy before termination. It can be anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks after termination; If concerned, get a blood test.
