Providing teething kittens with safe approved chew toys will save your home from becoming a giant test area for kitten teeth. Kittens like to chew on natural substances and just like with a pup you can provide real food chews such as rawhide, pig ear strips, stingray tails etc. for them to teeth on.

Just what you would do for a teething child - give them something rubbery and soft to chew on. You could also rub their gums with highly dilute oil of clove.
