Las Vegas can be surprisingly cold in the winter and surprisingly hot in the summer... and the night-to-day temperature variations can be extreme too. Since you will probably be indoors most of the time, this won't matter, but if you plan to walk between hotels - dress up!

Plenty of cash. Cigarettes if you smoke, they are expensive there. Very comfortable shoes, it is much easier to walk place to place there. A big appetite, buffets are cheap!

Packing for a weekend trip to Las Vegas is relatively painless. Light colored, cotton clothing will keep you cool in the heat of the day. Bring a sweater for air conditioned casinos and cooler evenings. A swim suit is a nice addition if you enjoy tanning or water sports. Taking in a show? Pack a dressier outfit for a concert.

I just recently went and let me tell you, comfortable shoes are number one on your list. I would say you need at least two dressy outfits, you can wear one twice if you don't want to pack to much. And some shorts and lite shirts are a must.
