Fertile soil and sunny locations work great for garden plants. Potted plants survive well with minimum care and there are no insect problems with the pepper plant.

This plant likes a half day of indirect sun. They are not grown to be eaten, though you can. You need to keep the soil moist, but not soggy and the roots should not sit in water. You don't have to mist, but the plant likes it. If you encounter pests, a light soap and water spray will do it.
