Shelties are wonderful dogs. They are very loyal to their owners and get along well with most other dogs. Mini Shelties have long silky coats, with an undercoat that helps insulate them against snow and rain. Anyone considering a sheltie should be willing to commit to consistent grooming, as their coat can become matted and tangled without a good brushing.

Mini shelties are the same as regular sized shelties, they are just bred to be smaller. They are not a different breed. Shelties are very sweet dogs, but they do tend to be barkers.
