If your pool filter is placed too high then you may want to lower it. This will require some contracting work. However if you mean your pool filter pressure then you need to backwash the filter and blow out the line. After this, sometimes it doesn't hurt to use some low grade Shock in your pool.

I assume that you are asking about the pool filter pressure being too high. If this is the case, you'll have to backwash the filter to clean it out.
