Clean the spark plug before you do anything else. If the problem is still going on clean the fuel filter and change the gas.If the problem is still happening check your carberator float level,it may be set wrong. If all else fails take it to a repair shop and have looked at.

If you have a large yard or use it a lot, it could mean that its overheated and needs to be set aside for a few minutes to cool down. The other option could be that it could be shorting itself out.

If your leaf blower has no problem starting, but won't stay on, try replacing the spark plug. That usually fixes the problem. If it doesn't, I suggest taking it to a repair shop, because you may cause more damage to the blower if you try fixing it yourself.

If it's gas check the spark plug. If it's electric, be sure that the cord doesn't have exposed wires or the extention cord is not faulty.
