The immediate action would be to identify the spider and get a veterinary attention. In the mean time the area around the bite should be clipped and cleaned properly. A cold compress may also be used.

It all depends on if you know if it was a poison spider. For example if it was a brown recluse take it to the vet immedietly!

If there is a visible wound, clean it with a small amount of peroxide or rubbing alcohol and apply triple antibiotic ointment. If the wound is large or appears infected, or if your cat shows symptoms of an infection (lethargic, not wanting to eat or drink) take the cat to the veterinarian for further treatment.

Curious cats can oftentimes get themselves into situations that aren't always the best for them and a spider bite can be one of those instances! First try to determine what kind of spider bit your feline and then make a visit to the vet for his expert diagnosis.

As long as they are not in pain, I wouldn't worry about it. Here in North America, there aren't any poisonous spiders, but if the cat is in pain, take it to the vet.
