The most common problem with a disposal not working is that it is stuck. The disposal should come with an allen wrench. Find it and insert it into the hold on the bottom of the disposal. Give it a crank. Otherwise, consult your owners manual for troubleshooting tips.

Get owners manual and see if there is a troubleshooting section. If so read what it says about your condition. If it doesn's say anything, contact the dealer and see if its under warranty. If so dismantle and send it back, if not I would buy a new one and read what consumers have to say about different ones.
