In india people use cardamom in sweets as well as spice items, especially in south india they use cardamom in payasam, pudding and it is used in meat items too.
Cardamom is used in many Indian dishes- but is a nice addition to tea, curry, or even as a secret ingredient in pastries and cookies. Kaju Katli is a great cookie that has a wonderful cardamom essence.
