Butterflies need nectar producing flowers. Some to chose from are: Butterfly Bush, Zinnias, Butterfly Weed, Asters, Daisy and more. Find a good book from the library or on the Internet as a good place to start.

You should grow hedges etc, these provide them shelter. Cottonwood, wild cherry, willow, maple are the plants on which they lay their eggs.
