Do you have to use a higher octane rating?

Standard low grade gas will be sufficient for these mowers as they are not designed for higher octane fuel any way.

Any gas with an Octane Rating of 87 or higher will do, unless you are at 5,000 feet or higher, then you can use 85 Octane Rating. The engine can handle gas with up to 10% ethanol.
