What is your opinion of the Sew Cute sewing machine?

The Sew Cute sewing machine is perfect for the young beginner sewer. The price is great, often under fifty dollars and the cheerful colors are a bonus. The machine covers the basics to learn on like how to sew a good straight seam and how to have proper tension.

I think it is a high quality piece of machinery. If I were in the market for a new sewing machine, this one would definitely be at the top of my list for consideration.

Sew Cute is a miniature machine, which is cheap and convenient to start; however, for larger projects, the size and fixed speed will become a problem. Such machines are likely to jam on more finicky materials such as jersey knit and denim. I suggest a used "Brother" machine from Ebay.

I wouldn't get a small machine because if you sew something large there is a possibility the machine will move around and you will not sew straight and damage fabric.

I think this is great for learning to sew. However keep in mind these machines are not meant for "projects" only crafts so don't expect to much.
