Anything that is shiny, silky, and has some sort of decorative beads, rhinestones, or threading. The more color , the better. This form of apparel is so beautiful and fun to wear.

My mother was in Pakistan as a Peace Corps volunteer. Typical apparel is called a "shalmar kameez. " The shalmar is a loose fitting trousers. The kameez, or qameez, is a large, loose fitting top. Both men and women wear these. Women also wear a scarf or shawl on their head.
