The state of Tennessee does have a general law that specifies the endangerment of the individual or public, however county and town statutes further defines this very specifically.
It is considered among the "Offenses against Public Health, Safety and Welfare" per T. C. A. ยง 39-17-310. The penalty depends upon the details of the incident and the individual's record.
