Ring-necked parrots are not easy pets to control. If left to their own devices they "go wild" and become hostile. They need to be around people and physically handled constantly, even if they have companion birds. For someone who works or travels a lot, I would suggest a different type of bird.

Well when the parrots have rings around their neck they are known to be very sexual creatures and if you think about it, this sexuality interferes with the security of our home.

Ring-necked parrots are said to have stable temperaments and make good pets. They tend to be very affectionate but, cope well with minimal attention during busy times.

This ring-necked parrots and known as ring-necked parakeet.all these species are sxually dimorphic. The adult male sports a black net ring and pink nape-band while the hen and immature birds of both sexese either show no neck rings. And these are not good birds when we out of town.
