Your kids will love them. They are known to protect their owners and are very loyal. They have keen senses and are alert and protective against strangers. They are very good companians.
Breed doesn't like being alone. Nervous dog. Suspicious of strangers, makes good watchdog but results in aggressive behavior. Devoted to master. Are NOT recommended for small children.
Despite their physical appeal as a lapdog, Lhasa Apsos defensive nature makes them quick to snap. They should not be left unattended with young children.
Tempermants very based on the individual dog. In most cases a well trained and socialized Lhasa Apso would be great with children who are taught how to handle a dog.
