What is the STAR test?

A California schools testing program called Standardized Testing and Reporting consists of CST, California Standards Test, CMA, California Modified Assessment, CAPA, California Alternate Performance Assessment, STS, Standard based Tests in Spanish. Performance levels are advanced, proficient, basic, below basic and far below basic. California has a target level of proficient or above and hopes all children will eventually score that.

Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) was a program to evaluate the performance in the California Achievement Test (CAT). Introduced by Public Schools Accountability Act (PSAA) to improve academic excellence.
