Iron is required to produce hemoglobin for your red blood cells and if aren't getting enough you have what is called iron deficiency anemia and an iron supplement could help you. There is nothing particularly special about carbonyl iron versus a standard iron dietary supplement, its just a different form.

There are many different causes of anemia. In order to determine if your anemia can be treated by taking iron, you must first determine the specific cause of your anemia. It is very important to see a doctor before you begin taking iron, because iron overload can cause a severe and potentially deadly disease called hemochromatosis.

There are many types of anaemia and it depends on what type that you have. If you have iron defociency anaemia, then yes- you can treat it with carbonyl iron.

I know they use it in little kids and it helps them but as far as an adult you can ask your doctor or go to your local pharmacist.

Well if you don't have any iron in your body, then you are going to anemia. People lacking iron or b12 vitamins will be more deficient in their blood levels.
