HDCL should be above 40 mg/dl for males and 50 mg/dl for females. Higher numbers are even better. HDCL levels are above 60 mg/dl are in the optimal range.

when you are comparing good cholesterol (HDL) and bad cholesterol (LDL)you can use a ratio. While using this ratio the goal of HDL to LDL is to be above 0. 3 with the ideal ration being above 0. 4. on determining the effectiveness of using the ratio to determine potential heart disease the medical community is divided.

Asparagus compound is found in sulpher. The ingredients in asparagus makes urine have a powerful odor. The odor in urine is caused due to mercaptan which is broken down in the digestive system. But asparagus does not affect everyone and it is not yet deducted which set of chemical compounds contained in asparagus actually cause bad smell

The ratio is the LDL is divided by the HDL. Low risk: 3. 3 to 4. 4 Average risk: 4. 4 to 7. 1 Moderate risk: 7. 1 to 11. 0 High risk: 11. 0 and higher

Lilian is wrong: CHOL/HDLC ratio is "total cholesterol" divided by "HDL".
Less than or equal to 5.0 is desirable.  add a comment
