It's just an expression. A current is the direction of something, like water. Currents can cross and intersect. The same is true for cultures. Think "melting pot."

Similar to how water streams from various sources meet at a fork, cultures come together, particularly in countries with high immigration. Each brings strong, unique directional viewpoints. When ideals and worldview conflict, cross currents are created. Ripples of conflict from these currents can be far-reaching, disturbing smooth flow and threatening the ability of these cultures to successfully blend and coexist.

I have never heard it phrased exactly like that, but a cross-cultural event is something that is designed to appeal to people from different cultures and showcase those cultures.

I have heard this term, and am not entirely sure what it means, but I'm guessing that it has to do with different cultural groups coming together, mingling, perhaps by chance, and exchanging ideas and other aspects of their respective cultures.

These are qualities a minority culture possesses that are in conflict with the majority culture. This can apply to many different areas, from politics and religion to education and dialect.
